Alpha Gamma Rho

Alpha Gamma Rho was organized in 1908 by the union of two prior societies - Alpha Gamma Rho at Ohio State University in 1904 and Delta Rho Sigma at the University of Illinois in 1906. The founding purpose was to make better men and through them a broader and better agriculture. The Beta Nu Chapter was founded at Texas A&M University in 1986. Currently the fraternity has 57 Undergraduate chapters, 28 graduate chapters, and 54 city/alumni associations. Beta Nu is committed to the Still Creek Boys Ranch. The colors of the fraternity are green and gold and the flower is the pink rose.

Beta Theta Pi was founded at Miami University, Oxford, OH in 1839. It was the sixth college secret fraternity and the first to originate west of the Alleghenies. The Epsilon Eta chapter was founded at Texas A&M University in 1986. Currently the fraternity has 126 undergraduate chapters, and 95 city/alumni chapters. Epsilon Eta is committed to the Boys and Girls Club. The colors of the fraternity are delicate shades of pink and blue and the flower is the rose.

Chi Phi was founded at Princeton University in 1824. It was formed from the consolidation of three organizations - the Chi Phi Society, Chi Phi Fraternity, and the Secret Order of Chi Phi. The Theta Zeta chapter was founded at Texas A&M University in April of 1985. Currently the fraternity has 55 undergraduate chapters, 47 graduate/alumni chapters, and 21 city area associations. Theta Zeta is committed to working with Bowen Elementary School. The colors of the fraternity are scarlet and blue.


Delta Chi

Delta Chi was founded at Cornell University in 1890. Formed as a law fraternity, the ritual is based on concepts of justice and contains no religious inferences. Its founding purpose was to promote friendship, develop character, advance justice and assist the acquisition of a sound education. The Texas A&M Chapter was founded at Texas A&M University on March 26,1988. Currently the fraternity has 97 undergraduate chapters, and 14 graduate/alumni chapters. The Texas A&M Chapter is committed to putting on the Powderpuff Football Classic. The colors of the fraternity are red and gold.


Delta Sigma Phi

Delta Sigma Phi was founded at the City College of New York in 1899. The Texas A&M University chapter has recently earned their charter. As of April 6, 2002 we will be host to the Theta Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi. Currently the fraternity has 124 undergraduate chapters, 42 graduate/alumni chapters, and 5 city/area alumni associations. The chapter is committed to putting on the Miss. Greek Pageant. The colors of the fraternity are nile green and white and the flower is the carnation.

Delta Tau Delta was founded at Bethany College in 1858. The fraternity journal is the third oldest fraternity magazine. The Zeta Sigma chapter was founded at Texas A&M University on November 6, 1993. Currently the fraternity has 123 undergraduate chapters. The Zeta Sigma Chapter is committed to the Adopt-A-School program. The colors of the fraternity are white, purple and gold and the flower is the purple iris.

FarmHouse Fraternity was founded at the University of Missouri on April 15, 1905. The objective of the fraternity is the building of the whole man which includes the encouragement of high academic achievement, maintenance of the dignity of the individual, an abiding concern for the welfare of others, participation in extracurricular activities, an awareness of the moral standards of our culture and a strong desire to seek for the best in every phase of university and personal life. The colors of the fraternity are green and gold. FarmHouse is a "one word" organization, paying special attention to the capital letters "F" and "H" in the spelling. The Texas A&M Colony was chartered in the spring of 2004.

Kappa Alpha was founded in 1865 at Washington College, now Washington and Lee University. The fraternity was conceived by James Ward Wood and founded by William Nelson Scott, Stanhope McClelland Scott, and William Archibald Walsh. General Robert E. Lee is accepted as the spiritual founder of the Order and the basic tenets he himself held dear have remained the foundation of membership - reverence to God, duty, honor, character and gentlemanly conduct. The Epsilon Delta chapter at Texas A&M was founded in the spring of 1978. Currently the fraternity has over 125 undergraduate chapters. Kappa Alpha is committed to MDA as the national philanthropy. The colors of the fraternity are crimson and old gold and the flowers are the magnolia blossom and the red rose.

Kappa Sigma was founded in 1869 at the University of Virginia. It was established, in a sense as an extension of, and was named for, a secret university organization at the University of Bologna in Italy. The Mu Gamma chapter was founded at Texas A&M University in 1981. Currently the fraternity has 150 undergraduate chapters with over 250,000 initiates, 75 graduate/alumni chapters, and 23 city/area alumni associations. Mu Gamma is committed to hosting the Wicked Woods event. The colors of the fraternity are emerald, scarlet, and white and the flower is the lily of the valley.

Lambda Chi Alpha was founded in 1909 at Boston University. From the beginning the fraternity has been based on democratic and progressive principles. The Delta-Mu Zeta chapter was founded at Texas A&M University on October 10, 1992. Currently the fraternity has 224 undergraduate chapters and 214 graduate/alumni chapters. Delta-Mu Zeta is committed to the North American Food Drive, and Adopt-A-School programs. The colors of the fraternity are purple, green, and gold and the flower is the white rose.

Phi Delta Theta was founded in 1848 at Miami University, Ohio. The Texas Nu chapter was founded at Texas A&M University on December 7, 1985. Currently the fraternity has 180 undergraduate chapters and 85 city/area alumni associations. Texas Nu is committed to the Adopt-A-Highway program. The colors of the fraternity are azure and argent and the flower is the white carnation. A fraternity cheer was adopted in 1891 and a fraternity whistle in 1894.

Phi Gamma Delta was founded in 1848 at Jefferson College in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Founded by John Templeton McCarty, Samuel Beatty Wilson, James Elliott, Jr., Ellis Bailey Gregg, Daniel Webster Crofts, and Naaman Fletcher, the association came to be known at the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta. Membership in Phi Gamma Delta (also known as "Fiji") is premised on five key values: friendship, knowledge, service, morality, and excellence. Phi Gamma Delta is also abbreviated as Fiji and is known as such at many college campuses. The Alpha Mu Chapter at Texas A&M was re-established in the fall of 2001, chartered on Saturday, March 22, 2003, and was originally chartered in the spring of 1979. The color of the fraternity is royal purple and the flower is the purple clematis.

Phi Kappa Theta, a consolidation on an equal basis of two predecessor national fraternities, was founded in 1889 at Brown (Phi Kappa) and Leigh University (Theta Kappa Phi). The Texas Gamma Sigma Chapter was founded at Texas A&M University on May 6,1989. Currently the fraternity has 78 undergraduate chapters. Texas Gamma Sigma is committed to the Big Event. The colors of the fraternity are cardinal, purple, white, and gold and the flower is the red tea rose.

Pi Kappa Phi was founded in 1904 at The College of Charleston. It was among the first to have a national scholarship program and committee, implement a leadership consultant program, and conduct a nationwide leadership school. The mission statement includes pursuit of brotherhood through scholarship, leadership, service and social experiences. The Delta Omega Chapter was founded at Texas A&M University on April 21, 1979. Currently the fraternity has 127 undergraduate chapters and 22 graduate/alumni chapters. Delta Omega is committed to the PUSH America program. The colors of the fraternity are blue, gold, and white and the flower is the red rose.


Sigma Alpha Epsilon

Sigma Alpha Epsilon was founded in 1856 at The University of Alabama. It was the only fraternity founded in the antebellum South. The Texas Tau Chapter was founded at Texas A&M University on April 11, 1981. Currently the fraternity has 206 undergraduate chapters and 130 graduate/alumni chapters. The colors of the fraternity are royal purple and old gold and the flower is the violet.

Sigma Alpha Mu was founded in 1909 at the College of the City of New York as a Fraternity of Jewish Men. The eight Founders of Sigma Alpha Mu were all of Jewish faith, and it naturally followed that they attracted to their brotherhood men of similar background. They believed in Fraternalism among Jewish college men, convinced that without it, a large number of Jewish students would be deprived of the pleasant associations and companionships they now find in most colleges. Sigma Alpha Mu has always acknowledged with deep appreciation its Jewish heritage and the ethical values of Judaism which have enriched its life and the lives of its members. Thus, responsive to this thinking, Sigma Alpha Mu at its 1953 Convention amended its constitution, making eligible for membership any male student of good moral character who respects the ideals and traditions of the Fraternity. The Gamma Kappa chapter was chartered on April 3, 2004.

After six disgruntled members withdrew from Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity, the embarked upon the founding of Sigma Chi in 1855 at Miami University in Ohio. It was one of the first of the men’s general fraternities to begin a fraternity-wide service project and the first to sustain such a project over the years. The Eta Upsilon Chapter was founded at Texas A&M University on February 21, 1976. Currently the fraternity has 217 undergraduate chapters and 140 graduate/alumni chapters. Eta Upsilon is committed to hosting Derby Days. The colors of the fraternity are blue and old gold and the flower is the white rose.


Sigma Nu

Sigma Nu was founded in 1869 at the Virginia Military Institute on the cardinal principles of truth and love. It was born of a secret society dedicated to the eradication of hazing and other immature practices. The Kappa Sigma Chapter was founded at Texas A&M University on October 26, 1985. Currently the fraternity has 212 undergraduate chapters. Kappa Sigma is committed to hosting the dance marathon. The colors of the fraternity are black and gold and the flower is the white rose.

Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded in 1901 at the University of Richmond through the inspiration of Matthew 22:37-40 and the open motto of Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love. The Texas Mu Chapter was founded at Texas A&M University on April 11, 1973. Currently the fraternity has 92 members. The Texas Mu Chapter recently received top honors from the Sigma Phi Epsilon Headquarters - they are the only State of Texas SigEp Chapter to receive the prestigious Buchanan Cup for Chapter Excellence. The colors of the fraternity are red and purple and the flowers are the violet and dark red rose.

Sigma Pi Fraternity International was founded in 1897 at Vincennes University, currently standing as one of the largest and most respected organizations in the Greek-letter world with over 130 chapters/colonies and 60 alumni associations/clubs throughout North America. Founded on brotherhood, scholarship, leadership and service, Sigma Pi is the only Greek-letter organization with service project designed to give back to our host institutions through the ACE (Altruistic Campus Experience) Project. The Texas A&M Colony was founded on December 1, 2006 as the newest men's, social fraternity on campus and on November 3, 2007, it became nationally recognized a Texas A&M chapter. The colors of the fraternity are lavender, gold and white and the fraternity flower is the orchid.
